What is the assistance service at stations?
The assistance service at stations is a free service offered to people with disabilities or reduced mobility.
At the departure station, this service means you will be accompanied from the ‘Disabled Passenger Assistance’ service point to your seat on the train.
On arrival at your destination, you will be accompanied from your seat on the train to the station exit, your seat on a connecting train, the station taxi rank or any other place of your choice at the station.
The assistance service is for:
Holders of a priority card*
Wheelchair users
People who have difficulty with movement
*Holders of an inclusion mobility card, a disability card or a military veteran card.
This assistance service is not a service to assist passengers with a pushchair or a luggage portering service.
Transporting unusual items does not constitute reduced mobility.
This assistance service is not provided to assist passengers with a pushchair and is not a luggage portering service.
Station staff reserve the right to request proof of eligibility to use the service.
* For holders of a ‘mobility inclusion’ card, a disability card, a military veterans card, pregnant women with a national family priority card, an EU parking card for people with disabilities, an EU disability card, a disability or priority card issued by an EU Member State or another foreign document that identifies the holder and unambiguously recognises a disability or functional limitation.
** For passengers with a medical certificate stating the need for assistance to use a mode of transport (with a validity period of one year unless a shorter period is mentioned) or a maternity certificate.
