Our subsidiary SNCF Retail & Connexions manages the commercial spaces for 3,000 French stations. They offer customised support at all stages of getting established at the station from adaptation of the concept to the layout plan including contractual management and invoicing.

SNCF Retail & Connexions, a key player
SNCF Retail & Connexions is commissioned by SNCF Gares & Connexions to develop and manage the commercial spaces of the 3,000 French stations. Our work goes from the initial concept, studies and projects up to the everyday management of the businesses (operations, collection of rent, etc.) and the marketing of these spaces which is our core business.
Centre Operations Department
The Operations Department takes care of the day-to-day technical management of the commercial spaces. It is the main contact point for the businesses on the site and ensures that activity runs smoothly. It works together with the Marketing Department in running the commercial spaces.

Marketing
The Marketing Department handles the scheduling of activities and creation of commercial events together with the operator. It also tests commercial services that are part of the customer journey, taking into account their use at stations (leisure, professional or everyday). It uses a multichannel strategy to instil a lasting dynamic. The Marketing Department also creates additional revenue via management of the advertising sales division Médiagares (brand events and external advertising).
The digital tools at the heart of our development
SNCF Retail & Connexions is a forerunner in the digital domain and uses this experience to improve the service for customers and businesses. Two initiatives have recently been implemented and are in testing phase: Retail & Data (sharing of information on passenger flows with the businesses and analysis of customer behaviour in order to improve the acquisition and conversion rate) and the ‘Ma Gare SNCF’ app (launch of the first pre-order meal service at stations to collect at a precise time directly from the point of sale).

Consultancy missions abroad
With a potential of over 180,000m² of commercial businesses at stations, SNCF Retail & Connexions’ expertise is today recognised internationally. The Development & Retail Design Department now shares its expertise for the benefit of transport companies on consultancy missions. It develops retail design projects with different transport authorities or rail companies who wish to develop their infrastructure (China, South Korea, Sri Lanka, etc.).
Open a business at the station
Any plan to install a commercial business at a station must correspond to a vacant site and is subject to a tender on our dedicated platform.
